As part of my Indian Art and History General elective study, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit New Delhi's famed historic National Museum. The structure of the museum was stunning. Collectibles and antiques from diverse subjects and historical periods were on show at the museum's several divisions. As we approached the museum's ground floor, I noticed a plethora of photographs, articles, sculptures, and scriptures–palm leaf and rock engravings, among other things–all of which were valuable and interesting. The museum is separated into various sections, such as an archaeological division, an anthropological division, and a display section, among others.
When I got to the first floor, we noticed paintings, murals, and charts, among other things. Manuscripts in several languages were on show. On display were a variety of historical weapons, garments, and clothing. The numismatics area occupies one of the corners. Coins from various periods are displayed in this section.
In one chamber, there were realistic paintings of the Ellora caves and magnificent reproductions of the Ajanta frescoes. In addition, paintings depicting the life of Lord Krishna, Lord Rama, and Lord Buddha as depicted in scriptures and charts are on display. After reading this section, one can properly understand India's beautiful history.
The military equipment sector was located on the third floor. Weapons from the past, such as spears and pruning hooks, swords and sheaths, shields and helmets, as well as various forms of clothing worn by commanders and generals, are on display. It had been a great adventure. We were too inspired by seeing all of the equipment and costumes of our country's former warriors.
The entire museum was a treasure trove of Indian history. You get to study about the history of India's great men and their morals.
For me, the trip to the museum was both exciting and educational. Seeing and experiencing all of it in the museum was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. My visit to the National Museum has left an indelible mark on me.

Following are the motifs that I derived from the artefacts that were on display in the National Museum Delhi.
