My visit to Seattle in the month of February 2020 will always be a special one for me.
Especially because it was my birthday month spent with my younger sister who lives there.
We had been planning this trip together for months and finally I got to see the beautiful city of Seattle
Which I had heard and read so much about.
This city, takes pride in its art installations at public spaces. Some of them are truly fascinating!
During my stay here I decided to visit Chihuly Garden and Glass museum with my sister.
It was one of the most beautiful exhibits I had ever seen!
Multicoloured glass blown figures were placed and arranged beautifully together to create a visual delight.
It inspired and encouraged me to use more colours in my artworks. That’s something that I often shy away from.
My choice of colour palette has always been greys, blacks, indigo and off whites since college.
This exhibit has art pieces of glass created/ conceptualised by Dale Chihuly - an American sculptor and entrepreneur.
His larger than life scale glass artworks are truly unique and create a surreal landscape for the audience.
I can write volumes about this exhibit but I would let the photographs do the talking.
A picture is worth a thousand words they say.
