When you ask me about this, I think my immediate recall to share would be, my memories from the Mehrangarh Fort museum, Jodhpur. May be for the simple reason that I felt the fort museum had one of the most unique connect, a museum could have with the city, and the facets to this relationship of theirs, could only be limited by one’s imagination.
For a starter, at the end of my journey, thinking of the high experienced because of those stunning visuals it served, I could not decide if it were the views of the city, from the fort museum or the views of museum from the city that I was thinking about more often. I realized that the city and the museum were inseparable in my memories and I experienced them together in whatever I did. They stood to complement and enriching each other having witness and share everything together that the time brought to them.
This, I hope you would agree for the world of museums and cultural studies is an ideal that we strive for, and seeing this beautiful relationship between the city of Jodhpur and its Fort museum, was so reassuring.
