I have always felt an unexplainable pull towards our defence forces,
strongest towards Naval Aviation.
The Naval Aviation Museum in Vasco, Goa which showcases the power of the Indian Naval Air arm holds my fascination till date. This is one of my reasons to visit Goa every year. The Indian Navy has always been silent about its feats. These Naval Museums boldly describe the exploits of the ‘Mission Deployed & Combat Ready’ swift & silent Navy.
Alizé runs deep in my memory from Goa. It helps time-travel to ex-INS
Vikrant during the 1971 war, and witness the operations carried out. The location of the museum, the serenity, the winds whisper the breaths of the aviators and naval officers. Be patient enough to take it all in!
