I recently went to NGMA during the covid time. It was my first time there and the experience was kind of what I was expecting but also a little gloomy. When I stepped inside, it was amazing. The interior, lighting, visuals and presentation are the things I first observe when I first visit a place as a design student. The paintings and other exhibits were amazing too. It was like they were trying to speak to me. There were only a few people there except for us, probably because of covid. But there was a sort of sadness in the environment. All I kept thinking about were those great, influential artworks just kept there all this time, in isolation. And no one there to praise them except for me. As an artist I couldn't help but think about what would happen to my artworks when I'm gone. If at all I achieve their standards.
