We went to Agra and so visited the above heritage sites. I was around 12 years in age at that time so did not really like it back then, but now when I recollect those memories it feels like I have had a beautiful experience.
Talking about the Taj Mahal, I absolutely fell in love with the intricate carvings, motifs, patterns and notably the bright and mesmerising colors that I think were mostly made through natural resources, The entire monument and the garden space around it,truely blew my mind and still does and will continue to.
The Akbar fort was like humungous and felt really vacant. I could literally imagine king Akbar with his queens roaming lavishly in the entire fort.
The Itmad ud daulah experience was also of another level. I liked the part where we were only allowed to enter inside the place where I think the queen used to sit and look outside the window or 'Jharokha', in cloth type socks. I think it was an effort to put the area clean enough and avoid footprints or bad smells.
This was my overall experience from my visit diaries.
The pictures are in the order 1,2,3,4.
1st belongs to Anand bhawan in my home town Prayagraj (earlier called as Allahabad, the name of which was given by Akbar during his ruling period).
This place was the home of our former PM Indira Gandhi. The place was a central point of patriots like Mk Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Shubhash chandra Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad etc, had meetings pertaining to framing policies and struggle for freedom.
