LOCO SHED RAILWAY HERITAGE MUSEUM, REWARI, HARYANA
Loco Shed is not like the average museums we come across, it has an open ambience setting and the steam trains are placed at a varying proximity from one another.
What makes this a heritage museum is the fact that it is home to one of India’s oldest and last surviving steam locomotives.
The factors that made the experience unforgettable were- The greenery and well maintained gardens, the easy accessibility to the trains, visitors are allowed to go inside and actually look instead of just being a bystander, another thing that made the experience immersive is the train simulator placed there which ties the whole shed together.
The elements which could be worked upon are the cafeteria, it had less to none options to eat and the food was kind of cold, another thing the museum could work upon is the lack of a proper guide to educate you and take you through the whole museum, the place is rather secluded and the visitors are just supposed to find their way around.
These are the things that stuck with me when i went to visit the museum and I hope to visit so many more to gain a better perspective about things that shape our culture.
