Museums are the repositories of antique items. They are, in reality, great historical, anthropological, and archaeological monuments that tell us about the ancient world. It represents the interface to the extent of the nobility of any country and the extent of its strength.
do you ever heard of army museum?
Once I happened to visit the grenadier museum in jabalpur. It was a school trip.
The Grenadiers Museum at Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh exhibits a variety of artifacts relating to the historical, cultural and political past of the region. The arms and ammunition collection depicts a wide range of weapons from ancient times to the present. The exhibition includes sculptures, paintings, rare pictures, and life-like models. It is very big museum. Its building has many rooms. These rooms are neat and clean. The exhibits are properly arranged.

When we entered the premises there were big tanks and fighter jets outside. These military tanks and planes were the ones that the indian army had destroyed or shot down in battle and the heroic story of each incident was inscribed on metal plates in front of each item. These narratives were so fascinating and valiant that I was engrossed in each of them. My friends were getting on top of each tank and taking pictures and getting awestruck by these big metallic beasts and I was standing there visualizing what would’ve happened at that time.

Then we went inside and it was amazing! There is a hall in the left side of the entrance. It has a big collections of uniforms and medals. Next to this room was the exhibition room of different types of old weapons. There was a 7 feet long gun which was made up of pure iron and bullet in that gun was filled from nozzle of the gun. I was very amazeto see the weapons used by Indian warriors of grenadier regiment. Our school principal of that time also from same regiment. Among these weapons there were swords, shields, lances, and armour. They were very strong, heavy and large in size giving an idea of the impressive personality of our past warriors.
It was so aesthetically pleasing and well thought off. Each major war had an area to itself marking all the significant happenings of that time. And larger than life realistic structures were put up in great movements enacting a scene of war.

There were many more things of our past in the museum. We visited almost all units of the museum and saw a lot of things. We enjoyed our visit to the museum. It is really the store-house of information and knowledge. Past becomes live in front of one’s eye. Hence, museum is a worth visiting place.
For me the visit to the museum was a thrilling experience and what I saw and observed in the museum is one of the richest experiences of my life. I was deeply moved to see this vast storehouse of India’s ancient glory. This visit has left a deep impression on my mind.
